1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using M8ven's services, including the m8ven.ai website, Is It Legit brand trust verification tool, APIs, and MCP integrations (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. Description of Services

M8ven provides trust verification infrastructure for commerce. Our Services analyze publicly available data to generate trust assessments for brands, stores, and websites. These assessments are informational and should not be the sole basis for any purchasing decision.

3. Accounts and Access

Some features require an account or API key. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials. Anonymous access is available with rate limits. You agree not to share API keys or circumvent rate limits.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Services for any unlawful purpose
  • Submit false or misleading feedback through the report experience feature
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer our trust scoring methodology
  • Scrape, crawl, or automated bulk-access the Services beyond API rate limits
  • Use the Services to defame, harass, or harm any business or individual
  • Resell or redistribute trust data without authorization

5. Trust Verdicts and Disclaimers

Trust verdicts ("Looks Legit," "Proceed with Caution," "Do Not Recommend") are generated from automated analysis of publicly available signals. They are not guarantees of safety or quality. M8ven does not endorse or certify any brand.

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. M8VEN DOES NOT WARRANT THAT TRUST ASSESSMENTS ARE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR CURRENT. YOU USE THE SERVICES AT YOUR OWN RISK.

6. User-Submitted Content

When you submit purchase feedback or brand suggestions, you grant M8ven a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use that content to improve our Services. You represent that any feedback you submit is truthful and based on your actual experience.

7. API and MCP Usage

API and MCP access is subject to rate limits based on your plan. We reserve the right to throttle or suspend access for abuse, excessive load, or violation of these terms. API keys may be revoked at our discretion.

8. Intellectual Property

The Services, including our trust scoring methodology, data models, and brand intelligence, are the intellectual property of M8ven. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works from our Services except as expressly permitted.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, M8VEN SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold M8ven harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Services or violation of these Terms.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify registered users of material changes via email.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Services at any time.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of New York County, New York.
